Former Consul-General of Egypt Shares Insights in Second Seminar of Consul-General Seminar Series

27 April 2023, Former Consul-General of Egypt to Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, Mr Amr EI Henawy, shared insights on the history and trade of Egypt in the second seminar of the Consul-General Seminar Series at Hong Kong Chu Hai College.


Former Consul-General of Egypt to Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, Mr Amr EI Henawy, gives a seminar on the history and trade of Egypt.

Mr Amr EI Henawy highlighted the similarities between the ancient civilisations of Egypt and China and the historic trading relationship between the two countries. He also spoke about Egypt's cultural, educational, and international trade aspects and how it is a friendly country to do business with.

Mr Amr EI Henawy added that Egypt is a prominent exporter of fruits, spices and herbs. 


Students thoroughly enjoys the interactive seminar.

Mr Amr EI Henawy encouraged the audience to travel to Egypt to experience the people and lives there. He also reassured students that there is no need to worry about cultural differences when studying or travelling to Egypt as long as they are open-minded and willing to converse with the locals.

The Consul-General Seminar Series aims to provide a platform for experts to share their knowledge and insights on various topics related to international relations and business.
