Zhao Hanrong is an excellent news photographer and has served for the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. In 2021, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography, the highest honor in journalism. In addition, in 2013, he also won the Southern California Photo of the Year Award from the Los Angeles Journalism Association; and in 2007, he won the Photojournalism Award in the Canadian Applied Arts Magazine Annual Competition.
